
SEITAN WITH CHIMICHURRI SAUCE
A dish brimming with personality, Seitan with chimichurri sauce combines the South American roots of an iconic sauce with the plant-based option of seitan. The fresh and aromatic sauce enhances the flavor of the seitan, making it succulent and spicy. Ideal as a high-protein vegan main course, it pairs perfectly with baked potatoes and a crispy green salad.

INGREDIENTS FOR 4 PEOPLE
- 500g Organic Seitan, sliced
- 2 bunches parsley, chopped
- ½ bunch oregano, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 shallot, chopped
- 1 dl extra virgin olive oil
- 4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 chili pepper, chopped
- Cumin and smoked paprika (optional)
- salt and pepper
HERE'S HOW TO DO IT
- Prepare the chimichurri: Combine the parsley, oregano, garlic, shallot, oil, vinegar, chili pepper, cumin, sweet paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well and let stand.
- Brown the seitan in a pan with a little oil for about 5 minutes per side, until golden brown.
- Serve the seitan slices piping hot, generously seasoned with chimichurri sauce.
